01The parser

Your sentence,
turned into stats.

This box runs the game's own parsePrompt(), loaded off js/prompt-parser.js. Nothing here is mocked up. Whatever you type is the fighter you would get in a real match.

Type something the lexicon has never heard of and it builds a fighter out of a hash of your text instead, so banana pancakes is a real opponent. You get the same one back every time.

02The roster

Eight archetypes.
No select screen.

You write a prompt, and this table decides which archetype it matched. It checks top to bottom and stops at the first hit, so the specialists get asked before the all-rounders.

    03The system

    Three attacks.
    One triangle.

Both fighters share every number on this page. Neither sprite gets its own timings, so the only thing separating two fighters is the prompt behind them.

    Move Startup Damage Cooldown Whiff

Startup is also the telegraph. A defender who reacts inside that window gets out of the way. Whiff is how long you are stuck there after missing.

    1. Blockbeatsjab & normal 16% chip gets through and the attacker is shoved 9px off.
    2. Heavybreaksblock 60% damage through the guard, then 28 frames of stun.
    3. Punishbeatsheavy 34 frames of whiff recovery, the widest window in the game.

You can't sit in block. It runs out after 30 frames, has a 24-frame cooldown, and chip damage keeps landing. A fighter who only blocks loses anyway, just slowly.

    comeback ruleswhy fights stay close
    Rage
Under 45% health you hit up to 38% harder, swing 18% sooner and move 16% faster.
    Last stand
A killing blow taken from full health leaves you on 4 HP instead. Once per fighter, and it only fires 40% of the time.
    Seed
One 32-bit number drives every roll in the round. Same seed, same fight.
    LiveThe floor

    Watch a fight
    you are not in.

Every room on this server shows up here the moment it has a code. Pick one, watch both strategies come out of commit‑reveal, and put MON behind a fighter — a pari‑mutuel pool on ArenaBattle, settled the second the match does.

    On the floor now checking…

Nothing running this second. Rooms appear here live — open the cabinet and create one, or watch the floor and wait for a fight.

    Back the winner
Your stake back in full, plus your share of the losing pool. The principal is protected by the contract — a winning bet cannot return less than it cost.
    The split
95% of the losing pool goes to the winning side, in proportion to each bet. The other 5% is the protocol fee, taken from the losing pool only.
    The fighters
Winner takes 1.5× their stake, loser gets half of theirs back, and the winning prompt is minted as a fully on‑chain SVG. Neither may bet on themselves.

    04The cabinet

    Three machines.

Two of them play themselves once the bell goes. The third is the one you actually drive, for the minute between bouts.

    05On-chain

    Winners go
    on-chain.

A fight comes down to two prompts and a seed. That is small enough to store, and it means anyone holding those three values can re-run the bout and get the same ending.

So the winner mints on Monad with all three recorded on the token, plus the stats and how the round finished. Re-run it with the same seed a year later and it ends the same way.
